Highlights of the IWR-USB
The IWR-USB Gateway provides a link between wireless sensors and any PC with a USB connection. A free of charge software package allows monitoring and logging of all the sensors in the wireless network via a standard PC. The IWR-USB saves the time-stamped data collected in a standard .csv file for easy handling by packages such as Microsoft® Excel®.
Multiple battery powered sensors transmit data at programmable intervals to a IWR-USB receiver which can then be connected to a standard PC for monitoring and logging the data from the wireless transmitters Data from up to 128 parameters can be accessed via the IWR-USB receiver.
Features
- 2.4GHz Wireless to USB Gateway
- Enables easy monitoring of our wireless networks using any PC
- Free of charge monitoring software allows all wireless parameters to be viewed and logged
- Logs data to .csv file
Applications
The IWR-USB is well-suited for OEM installations, where manufacturers require a reliable and flexible wireless-to-USB gateway to integrate into their own products or systems. By embedding the IWR-USB, OEMs can offer wireless data acquisition and monitoring capabilities without the need for complex wiring, making their solutions more attractive and easier to deploy in a variety of industrial and commercial environments.
For storage tanks and vessels, the IWR-USB provides a convenient way to monitor levels, pressures, or other parameters remotely. Instead of running long cables across hazardous or hard-to-reach areas, the wireless gateway can collect sensor data and transmit it directly to a PC or control system via USB. This not only simplifies installation but also enhances safety and reduces maintenance costs associated with traditional wired systems.
In cable replacement systems, the IWR-USB acts as a direct substitute for physical wiring between sensors and data collection points. This is particularly valuable in environments where cables are prone to damage, difficult to install, or where mobility is required. By using wireless communication, the system becomes more flexible and less susceptible to downtime caused by cable faults or wear and tear.
When it comes to hydraulic/pneumatic installations, the IWR-USB enables wireless monitoring of pressure, flow, or other critical parameters in systems where traditional wiring may be impractical due to moving parts, vibration, or exposure to fluids. The wireless gateway ensures that data from these installations can be reliably transmitted to a central location for analysis or control, improving system efficiency and reducing the risk of leaks or failures going undetected.
Finally, for remote test systems, the IWR-USB is ideal for applications where sensors or test equipment are located at a distance from the monitoring station. Whether in field trials, temporary setups, or environments where access is limited, the wireless-to-USB gateway allows for real-time data collection and analysis without the need for extensive cabling, making remote testing more efficient and less intrusive.
