DMP 333P Pressure Transmitter for Hydrogen Applications

Hydrogen-ready precision built for extreme pressures

The pressure transmitter DMP 333P is suitable for measuring the pressure of viscous, pasty or gaseous media and for applications that require a front-flush, dead space-free process connection. Especially for hydrogen applications there is the possibility to use the process connection with gold plating.

DMP 333P Pressure Transmitter Product Features

  • nominal pressure: 0 … 60 bar up to 0 … 600 bar
  • accuracy: 0,35 % (Opt. 0,25 %) FSO
  • output signal: 2-wire: 4 … 20 mA / 3-wire: 0 … 10 V / others on request

Pressure Transmitter Product Highlights

The DMP 333P industrial pressure transmitter features a front-flush, stainless steel diaphragm design ideal for pressure measurement in viscous, pasty, and gaseous media applications. For hydrogen service, an optional gold-plated process connection and diaphragm are available.

The transmitter accommodates high-temperature applications up to 200°C through an optional temperature decoupler, while maintaining measurement accuracy of ≤ ±0.35% FSO (or optionally ≤ ±0.25% FSO). With multiple electrical connection options including ISO 4400, Binder 723, M12x1 connectors, and field housing variants, the DMP 333P offers flexible integration into diverse system architectures with pressure ranges from 60 to 600 bar absolute.

Applications and Media

The DMP 333 P Pressure Transmitter is highly valued in mechanical and plant engineering due to its robust construction and high accuracy. In this field, the transmitter is used to monitor and control pressure in various mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Its ability to withstand harsh industrial environments makes it ideal for integration into complex machinery, hydraulic systems, and automated production lines, where reliable pressure measurement is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and preventing equipment failure.

Another significant application is in hydrogen systems, where the DMP 333 P excels because of its compatibility with hydrogen and its resistance to embrittlement. Hydrogen applications demand sensors that can handle the unique properties of this gas, including its small molecular size and tendency to diffuse through materials. The transmitter’s specialized design ensures accurate and safe pressure monitoring in hydrogen production, storage, and distribution systems, supporting the growing adoption of hydrogen as a clean energy source.

The DMP 333 P is also well-suited for viscous and pasty media. Many industrial processes involve the handling of thick, sticky, or semi-solid substances, which can be challenging for standard pressure sensors. The flush-mounted diaphragm of the DMP 333 P prevents clogging and allows for precise measurement even in media that are difficult to process, such as adhesives, pastes, or food products. This makes it an excellent choice for industries like food processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, where maintaining hygiene and process integrity is essential.
