Product Highlights
The Differential Pressure Transmitter 982R is a versatile and reliable device designed for accurate pressure measurement in various applications. This transmitter offers an array of pressure ranges to suit different needs, starting from 0 to 100 Pa up to 0 and 50 kPa, with overload capacities ranging from 60 kPa to 200 kPa, ensuring it can handle varying pressure levels with ease.
Its wide working and storage temperature range of -20°C to +70°C ensures optimal performance in diverse environmental conditions. The 6.0 mm hose connection process connection allows for easy installation. Moreover, the transmitter offers flexibility with both 3-wire and 2-wire types.
The 3-wire type can operate on 18 to 30 VAC / VDC supply voltage, providing output signals of 0 – 10 VDC or 4 – 20 mA, while the 2-wire type operates on 18 to 30 VDC with a 4 – 20 mA output signal. The electrical connection options include spring terminals for wires and leads or circular connectors M12 / 4-pole. With an IP54 protection class, including a protection cover according to EN 60529, the 982R ensures durability and reliability even in challenging environments.
Applications
The building automation, air conditioning systems and clean room monitoring application of the Differential Pressure Transmitter 982R is crucial for maintaining optimal environmental conditions in modern facilities. In building automation, the transmitter helps regulate and monitor air pressure differences between various zones, ensuring efficient HVAC operation and energy savings. In air conditioning systems, it provides precise feedback for controlling airflow and maintaining desired temperature and humidity levels. For clean room monitoring, the 982R is essential in ensuring that pressure differentials are maintained to prevent contamination, supporting strict hygiene and quality standards in sensitive environments such as laboratories, pharmaceutical production, and electronics manufacturing.
When it comes to valve and flap control, the 982R transmitter plays a vital role in automating and optimizing the operation of air handling units and ventilation systems. By continuously measuring the differential pressure across valves and flaps, the transmitter enables accurate positioning and adjustment, ensuring that the correct amount of air is delivered to different areas. This not only improves comfort and air quality but also enhances the efficiency and longevity of the mechanical components by preventing unnecessary wear and tear due to improper control.
The filter, ventilator and blower monitoring application leverages the 982R’s ability to detect pressure drops across filters, ventilators, and blowers. By monitoring these components, the transmitter can signal when a filter is becoming clogged or when a ventilator or blower is not operating efficiently. This early detection allows for timely maintenance, reducing downtime and preventing costly damage to the system. It also ensures that air quality is maintained by prompting filter changes before performance is compromised.
Finally, in the control of air flows, the Differential Pressure Transmitter 982R is used to measure and regulate the movement of air within ducts and ventilation systems. By providing real-time data on pressure differences, the transmitter enables precise control of airflow rates, which is essential for maintaining balanced ventilation, optimizing energy use, and ensuring occupant comfort. This application is particularly important in large commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities where consistent and reliable airflow is critical to operations.
