ME 771 Piezoresistive Pressure Sensor Flush Membrane with signal conditioning

Industrial-grade accuracy for aggressive media

Experience precision and stability with ME 771 Pressure Sensors. These sensors employ a ceramic base body with a flush diaphragm, operating through the piezoresistive principle and a Wheatstone bridge. Signal conditioning electronics generate a 4…20 mA current loop output. Electronically calibrated for pressure and temperature, the onboard ASIC ensures accurate readings in bar (ME771) or psi (MEP771). Enjoy offset and span correction for temperature changes and constant ageing detection. The ME 771 family meets EMC requirements, offers sensor traceability and allows custom calibration. With excellent chemical immunity, these sensors are ideal for handling aggressive media.

Features

The ME 771 Ceramic Pressure Transducer is particularly valued for its excellent resistance to corrosion and abrasion, making it ideal for use in harsh environments where aggressive chemicals or abrasive media are present. This robust resistance ensures long-term reliability and accuracy, even when the sensor is exposed to challenging process fluids or cleaning cycles, which is especially important in industries such as chemical processing, water treatment, and food and beverage production.

Another key application is its signal conditioning capability. The transducer is designed to provide a stable and precise electrical output that can be easily integrated into various control and monitoring systems. This feature simplifies the process of converting pressure measurements into usable signals for data acquisition, automation, or feedback loops, enhancing the overall efficiency and accuracy of industrial processes.

The ME 771 is also EMC compliant, meaning it is engineered to operate reliably in environments with high electromagnetic interference. This compliance is crucial in modern industrial settings where multiple electronic devices operate in close proximity, as it prevents signal distortion and ensures consistent performance, even in electrically noisy environments.

Additionally, the transducer is thermally compensated, which allows it to maintain accurate pressure readings across a wide range of temperatures. This compensation is essential for applications where temperature fluctuations are common, such as outdoor installations or processes involving heated or cooled fluids, ensuring that the sensor delivers precise data regardless of environmental changes.

Finally, the ME 771 features zero stress mounting software, which is designed to minimize mechanical stresses on the sensor during installation. This approach helps preserve the integrity and accuracy of the pressure measurements by preventing distortions that could arise from improper mounting, making the transducer suitable for applications where precise and repeatable measurements are critical.
