SLI-8 Multi Counters Module with LEDs for Module Operation

The SLI8 counters module is a versatile tool for counting pulses delivered to 8 isolated binary inputs independently. Each counter is 32 bits long, providing ample capacity for accurate counting. Users have the freedom to read and clear the counters at any given time. The module features green LEDs labelled as IN1 to IN8, which light up to indicate the occurrence of a HIGH state on a specific input. Count incrementation takes place after a falling edge on the corresponding input, specifically when the input state changes from HIGH to LOW. To ensure accurate counting, the SLI8 imposes time restrictions on the pulses. These restrictions can be adjusted using the internal digital filter, which effectively eliminates signal oscillations caused by contact bouncing in mechanical sensors. By employing the MODBUS RTU protocol, the module offers standard functions accessible via the RS-485 interface. This allows seamless integration with visualisation software or MultiCon controllers, making SLI8 operations easily manageable.
