The SLB94 Universal Counter is a versatile and efficient device designed specifically for counting pulses associated with various physical quantities, such as revolutions, details, and switchings. It features three internal registers, namely the main counter, cycles counter, and totaliser, which enables accurate and comprehensive counting capabilities. With four relay or open collector (OC) outputs, each with its own switch-on altuation setpoints, the SLB94 can easily be utilised for controlling external devices.
The counter is equipped with three separate inputs, allowing for the external reset of specific counters as needed. Configuring the counter is a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly local keyboard or the option to utilise the free S-Config software through the RS-485 communication port. The universal counter with internal cycles counter and totaliser functionality makes the SLB 94 a versatile device suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. With its 1 pulse counting input, the SLB 94 is designed for straightforward integration into systems that require accurate pulse measurement. This input can be connected to a variety of sensors or switches, enabling the device to count events such as machine cycles, product units, or other repetitive actions.
The counter is equipped with 3 independent reset sources, offering flexibility in how and when the count is reset. These sources can be configured to respond to different signals or conditions, ensuring that the device can adapt to various operational requirements and safety protocols.
For output control, the SLB 94 provides 4 REL / OC outputs. These relay or open-collector outputs can be used to trigger alarms, control external devices, or interface with other automation systems. The availability of multiple outputs allows for complex control schemes and integration into larger process control environments.
A prescaler and digital filter are included to enhance the accuracy and reliability of pulse counting. The prescaler allows the device to handle high-frequency signals by dividing the input frequency, while the digital filter helps eliminate noise and false triggering, ensuring that only valid pulses are counted.
