Product Highlights
The PA430 Indicator is a versatile device that offers a wide functional range. It features a free scalable display, allowing users to adjust the size of the displayed information as per their requirements. The indicator offers various switch modes, hysteresis, and parameterisable deceleration of the contacts, enabling precise control and monitoring of processes. The display can be rotated up to 330°, ensuring optimal visibility from different angles. Additionally, the connector is designed to rotate up to 300°, offering flexibility in installation.
One notable feature of the PA430 Indicator is that it does not require an external power supply. It serves as a plug-on display for pressure transmitters with output signals of 4 … 20 mA / 2-wire or 0 … 10 V / 3-wire, providing clear and accurate readings with its 4-digit LED display. Optional versions of the indicator include the IS-version for intrinsically safe environments and the availability of 1 or 2 programmable contacts, enhancing its functionality and customisation options.
Applications
The in situ display of pressure is a key application of the PA 430 Plug-On Display. In many industrial environments, it is crucial to have a local, real-time readout of process pressure directly at the measurement point. By plugging the PA 430 directly onto a transmitter, operators can instantly view the current pressure value without needing to access a remote control room or monitoring system. This immediate feedback enhances operational efficiency and safety, especially during setup, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
Another important use is the in situ display of temperature. Temperature transmitters are often installed in locations where direct access to the process variable is valuable for technicians and operators. The PA 430 allows for a clear, on-site digital readout of temperature, making it easier to verify sensor performance, calibrate equipment, or monitor process conditions during critical operations. This local display capability reduces the need for additional wiring or remote displays, streamlining installation and maintenance.
The PA 430 is also well-suited for the in situ display of level in tanks, vessels, or other storage systems. Accurate level monitoring is essential for process control, inventory management, and safety. By providing a direct digital indication of the measured level, the PA 430 enables operators to quickly assess the status of a tank or vessel at a glance. This is particularly useful in applications where remote monitoring is not feasible or where immediate local feedback is required for operational decisions.
