Customer Pressure Sensor Product Highlights
The SCPS series of pressure transducers have been developed using a Ceramic (96% Aluminium Oxide Al2O3) piezo-resistive sensing element housed in a robust stainless steel housing with an integrated Series 21 quick release fitting as the pressure port. It has the option of integrated wires or JST connectors as standard but can be adapted to customer requirements.
The standard internal PCB uses passive components to ensure the low power consumption is maintained, ideal for battery powered applications. Being passive also makes it suitable for applications that require a fast dynamic measurement of pressure with natural frequency response up to 75kHz. Additional options for output include analogue 0.5 to 4.5Volts, digital i2c or SPi.
- Pressure ranges from 0.5 up to 100 bar
- Accuracy <±0.35% / <±0.25% / <±0.10%
- Ceramic sensor, high corrosion resistance
- Passive millivolt output, analogue or digital
- High resistance, low power consumption
- Naturally high frequency response from 1kHz up to 75kHz
- Choice of mechanical connections
- Cost effective for OEM solutions
Pressure Sensors Applications
The SCPS Pressure Sensor is highly suitable for OEM installations, where its compact design and customizable features allow seamless integration into original equipment. Manufacturers benefit from its robust construction and reliable performance, ensuring that the sensor can be tailored to specific system requirements and deliver consistent results across a wide range of industrial products.
In the context of pneumatic testing, the SCPS Pressure Sensor excels by providing accurate and rapid pressure measurements. This is essential for systems that rely on compressed air or gas, as the sensor’s precision helps in detecting leaks, verifying system integrity, and ensuring that pneumatic components operate within safe and efficient parameters.
For pressure surge detection, the SCPS sensor’s fast response time and high sensitivity make it ideal for monitoring sudden changes in pressure. This capability is crucial in applications where pressure spikes can cause damage or indicate system malfunctions, allowing for timely intervention and protection of equipment.
When used in data loggers, the SCPS Pressure Sensor offers reliable and continuous pressure monitoring over extended periods. Its stable output and low power consumption make it a perfect fit for remote or battery-powered data logging devices, enabling long-term trend analysis and system diagnostics in various environments.
In water supply monitoring, the SCPS Pressure Sensor plays a vital role in ensuring the consistent delivery and quality of water. By accurately tracking pressure levels within pipelines and distribution networks, the sensor helps utilities detect leaks, maintain optimal flow, and prevent service interruptions, thereby supporting efficient water management.
Lastly, for seal performance monitoring, the SCPS Pressure Sensor provides critical feedback on the integrity of seals in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. By detecting even minor pressure changes that may indicate seal degradation or failure, the sensor enables proactive maintenance and helps prevent costly downtime or environmental hazards.
