LMK 387 Product Highlights
The LMK387 Level Transmitter is a versatile and reliable instrument designed for precise pressure measurement in a wide range of applications. It offers a nominal pressure range from 0 to 1 mH2O up to 0 to 100 mH2O, making it suitable for various industrial processes. The output signal is a 2-wire configuration, providing a 4 to 20 mA range, although other output options can be requested.
This level transmitter stands out with its compact size, featuring a diameter of only 22 mm. The diaphragm is made of 99.9% Al2O3 ceramics, ensuring excellent durability and resistance to harsh environments. With its good long-term stability, the LMK387 is particularly suitable for wastewater applications. Optional versions of this transmitter include a housing material made of titanium, an IS-version that is intrinsically safe for gas and dust environments, and a drinking water certificate according to DVGW and KTW standards.
It also offers a temperature element Pt 100, enabling precise temperature measurement, and can be conveniently mounted with a stainless steel tube. Various cable and elastomer options are available, catering to different installation requirements. Overall, the LMK387 Level Transmitter combines reliability, flexibility, and performance, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial applications.
Stainless Steel Level Transmitter Applications
The LMK 387 Level Transmitter is widely used in water applications, such as groundwater and level monitoring. Its robust stainless steel construction and high accuracy make it ideal for tracking water levels in wells, reservoirs, and open bodies of water. The transmitter’s ability to provide reliable and continuous level measurement ensures that water resources can be managed efficiently, supporting both environmental monitoring and water supply operations.
In the context of sewage applications, including wastewater treatment and water recycling, the LMK 387 stands out for its resistance to aggressive media and its submersible design. Wastewater environments often contain corrosive substances and suspended solids, but the transmitter’s durable materials and flush diaphragm allow it to operate effectively without clogging or degradation. This makes it a dependable choice for monitoring levels in sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, and recycling facilities, where maintaining proper fluid levels is critical for process control and environmental compliance.
For fuel and oil applications, such as tank battery monitoring and use in biogas plants, the LMK 387 offers safe and precise level measurement even in potentially explosive atmospheres. Its ATEX approval and compatibility with a range of hydrocarbons make it suitable for monitoring storage tanks containing fuels, oils, or biogas. The transmitter’s robust design ensures long-term stability and accuracy, which is essential for inventory management, leak detection, and process optimization in the energy sector.
